Welcome to Momma Earth
A space to create deep grounded connections to grow from.
Let me introduce myself, I’m Amber (she/her). I am momma to a calm & curious little human and energetic ol’ dog. I am friend & wife to my wonderfully supportive partner. I love spending my time in nature - hiking, kayaking, and gardening. I also enjoy sewing, reading, embroidery, taking pictures, refinishing old furniture, and baking!
As a child I grew up in the country spending hours outside each day. Nature provided a place to learn and grow early on and continues to fill my bucket. I love spending my time outdoors with my family and watching the wonders of the world through the eyes of my developing baby. Finding our rhythm in sync with the flow of the natural world.
My WHY: After struggling through miscarriages for years, I gave birth to my son in the fall of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. My experience becoming a mother after loss, navigating postpartum anxiety/depression, and my personal growth through role & routine changes has guided my professional focus. After 6 years working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in a clinical setting with special interest and extensive post-graduate training in sensory processing & motor planning, it was clear to me there was an area of need for mothers and their babies that I could fill.
Momma Earth is my way to provide to others what helped me most postpartum - the knowledge to support my baby's development in a sensory-rich, natural environment, the support system with which to do that, and the guidance and professional education to thrive in motherhood.
As an Occupational Therapist I have the ability to see through a unique and holistic lens, while my role as a mother brings a grounded reality to my knowledge, suggestions & support.
